Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is looking to for Project Manager (KZ passport holders) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our Operations business, based in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- participates in the development of project management plan, creates project documentation
- ensures projects development and execution
- maintains the required documentation by project phases/stages
- coordinates changes with project sponsors
- participates in project execution and project progress monitoring
- controls the quality of project works
- coordinates the work of project team members
- initiates planning and conducting of meetings on the matters related to the approved project execution
- complies with confidential information handling procedure
- ensure work pack and material delivery aligns with construction mobilisation
- provide construction expertise during FEED, Detail Design, in the form of constructability reviews, scope minimisation and ensuring safest and most efficient construction methods adopted
- actively engages with the other contractors / sub-contractors to ensure seamless delivery at site(s)
- engages with individual project teams to ensure correct level and sequence of Work Breakdown Structure adopted at project kick off
- ensure all Site activities are performed in a safe, environmentally responsible manner with integrity and quality delivering HS&E target
- oversight of home office team to ensure quality construction input to the integrated engineering and planning processes
- delivery of site teams to meet Client's business schedules
- delivery of reduced costs at site by continual review of performances and improvements by the site teams
- ensure the site construction and commissioning process with regard to the provision and use of corporate and project specific procedures, processes and systems;
- monitor the competency and training requirements of all construction/ commissioning personnel;
- ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control;
- ensure all workers within their area(s) of control receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal and competent manner including any Health and Safety and site-specific inductions
- manages and controls project cost and schedule of assigned discipline / subset of onsite construction. Utilise Commercial processes to capture variations effectively.
- works with engineering in the design phases to influence the design for optimum constructability
- for proactive support and compliance with LLP Life Saving rules
- for work within the LLP core values framework at all times driving safety as our top priority
- for contribution to delivery of the planned work scopes in an efficient and timely manner
- responsible for all aspects of construction management project of large size and complexity
- accountable for the overall contract construction effort and commissioning strategy; including safety, planning, cost and delivery of all field works on the Contract;
- accountable for supervising, organising and co-ordinating head office, site construction and commissioning teams to provide high quality support in accordance with the Contract
- controls, coordinates and regulates the epidemiological situation in Almaty office to protect the LLP employees
- liaises with HSE (health, safety and environment) Manager and other HSE representatives, if necessary
- responsible for organization of work on labour protection in Almaty office, monitors compliance with HSE legislative and regulatory legal acts by the employees, efforts to prevent of work-related injuries, work-related and occupational diseases, measures to create safe and healthy work conditions in the organization, provision of benefits and compensations for work conditions to the employees

QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in relevant discipline
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or equivalent certification is preferred
- Typically requires more than 7 years of pertinent experience including minimum 2-3 years experience managing projects or part of projects, mastering their area and knowledgeable about impacts on other areas
- Good level of experience in the related field, industry, and locations of the work
- Thorough understanding of project management techniques and practices
- Thorough understanding of project goals, drivers and strategies
- Experience of developing and implementing measures of success and benefits on several projects
- Knowledge of prioritising stakeholders and the development of stakeholder management plans
- Has interfaced with key stakeholders on projects to obtain, create and maintain requirements and acceptance criteria on several occasions.
- Good knowledge of industry and company risk management processes
- Well versed in qualitative assessment methods and some knowledge of quantitative assessment techniques
- Good knowledge and experience in project monitoring and forecasting
- Ability to manage change control process on project with several sub-contractors and interfaces
- In-depth knowledge of all types of project information (deliverables) and its uses and capable of managing information management project team
- Good knowledge of all handover and close-out activities required for customer, company and suppliers
