Which company will you join as a Timber Structural Design Engineer (M/F)?

We are recruiting for our client, a company specialized in timber construction, a Timber Structural Design Engineer (M/F).

Location: Rosny-sur-Seine (78), France

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will work on a wide range of new-build timber construction projects, mainly during the execution design phase, on technically challenging operations.

What will your responsibilities and missions be?

As part of the project teams, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing timber structures in collaboration with an experienced engineer
• Preparing execution calculation reports (modelling, assumptions, connections, load calculations, etc.)
• Working closely with the draftsperson to produce execution drawings and production files
• Ensuring compliance with standards and structural reliability
• Providing technical supervision to external engineering consultancies when required
• Acting as the technical point of contact for project owners, project management teams and control offices
• Supporting the estimating department during tender phases
• Carrying out technical and technological monitoring
• Participating in internal working groups

What profile and skills are required for this Timber Structural Design Engineer position?

• Master's degree / Engineering degree with a specialization in timber construction
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in structural design and calculations within a timber engineering company
• Strong knowledge of timber construction systems: timber frame structures, glulam, CLT, traditional timber structures, timber/concrete hybrid structures, etc.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following software programs: ACORD-Bat, Dlubal, Cadwork or MDBat
• Technical English is appreciated
• Team-oriented mindset, rigor and ability to work in project mode

• Salary: €42K to €52K depending on profile and experience
