We are currently looking for Head - Corporate Affairs based at Mumbai with details mentioned below.

Let me tell you about the role!

Regulatory Affairs Manager is responsible for shaping and leading Castrol India's external engagement and advocacy agenda, acting as the principal interface with government authorities, regulators, industry associations, and key strategic partners across India.

The role drives protection and long‑term value creation for Castrol India through proactive policy advocacy, regulatory engagement, reputation stewardship, and the development of high‑impact partnerships across the energy, automotive, and mobility ecosystem.

Working across all Castrol businesses in India, the role plays a critical part in enabling market access, influencing the operating environment, and strengthening Castrol's long‑term position in the Indian market, while supporting sustainable growth aligned with national priorities such as energy transition, emissions regulation, and future mobility.

What will you deliver?

Government & Regulatory Engagement

Represent Castrol India across regulatory bodies, statutory authorities, and key public‑ sector stakeholders.

Lead regulatory engagement and industry representation across relevant forums, including EPR, CPCB, FICCI, and lubricant industry councils.

Drive Castrol India's advocacy agenda across priority policy areas such as , sustainability, and taxation.

Strategic Partnerships & External Relationships

Lead the development and management of strategic partnerships across government, public sector, industry, and corporate networks.

Build and strengthen relationships with organizations critical to Castrol India's strategic and long‑term business agenda.

Maintain trusted, credible, and outcome‑focused relationships with senior external authorities and partners.

Corporate Affairs & Communications

Provide oversight of external communications, government affairs, and reputation management activities.

Partner closely with Communications to ensure aligned messaging, media engagement, narrative development, and effective issues management.

Support Castrol India's sustainability positioning and external engagement linked to the company's transition and future mobility agenda.

Policy, Advocacy & Public Expansion

Develop and deliver Castrol India's policy and advocacy agenda to enable a supportive regulatory and market environment.

Lead participation in policy platforms and industry forums, advocating sustainability‑led and sector‑relevant reforms.

Provide geopolitical, policy, and regulatory insights to India leadership teams to inform strategic decision‑making.

Leadership Qualities

Demonstrates high executive maturity, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal effectiveness.

Influences senior internal and external stakeholders with credibility, clarity, and humility.

Brings strong executive presence, relationship‑building capability, and cross‑functional leadership experience.

Collaboration Expectations

Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure coordinated and consistent external engagement.

Partner with India business leaders, functional heads, and global counterparts to deliver a unified external affairs approach

Ensure strong integration between Communications and External Affairs to effectively shape Castrol's reputation, customer expectations, and policy positioning. expectations, and policy positioning.

What will make you successful

Technical & Business Expertise

Knowledge of contracts, commercials, regulatory structures, and corporate strategy.

Ability to interpret business implications of policy and regulatory developments.

Strong business understanding and 18+ years of experience in Government Relations, External Affairs, Public Policy, or Regulatory Affairs.

Extensive experience engaging senior government officials and navigating public-sector environments

Demonstrated success in policy advocacy within the energy, oil & gas, or highly regulated sectors

Strong corporate affairs and key partner management background.

Preference for experience in: International Oil Companies (IOCs), Global multinationals with sophisticated matrix driven environments, career trajectory with strong professional integrity.

Education:

MBA (with exposure to strategy, government relations, or sustainability)
