Job Description:

Finance Manager - Sales & Marketing is responsible for the Planning, Performance management and Reporting of Thailand businesses covering Thailand, Laos and Myanmar to support the optimization of business performance. The role applies a Finance lens and deep understanding of business issues and priorities to form a consolidated view of business performance and provide challenge from an independent, financial perspective. Ensure the alignment across each of component parts, to gain consistency with financial reporting requirements and associated standards

Planning

  • Own the annual planning process for Auto and Industrial business to enable strategy to be delivered and supervise in-year performance. Provide recommendations and interventions where vital in support of delivery on key metrics, not limited to volume, GM, COGS, RCOP, debtor days, OWC, and cashflow.
  • Conduct the detailed rolling forecast / projection, and integration of LBM to ensure robust rolling forecast submission requirements are met and aligned with overall strategy. Provide business insight which leads to intervention to close current gap in performance and avoid long term risks to the business.
  • Provide the latest view forecast finding opportunities or risks, owning the development of analysis and proposals for business decisions to improve performance.
  • Support strategy development activity through translation of financials to enable the business decisions to grow value and create innovative financial solutions.
  • Develop and validate financial feasibility, economic model to support business decision on investment. Support PCC/OCC benefits validation.
  • Support and promote digitalization and simplification. Use the SAC tool for planning and forecasting process. Use Power BI dashboard for performance management.
  • Support Thailand Finance Manager for Company annual plan provided to Joint Venture for their consolidation and supervise the performance against budget plan by monthly.

Performance Insights

  • Partner with business collaborators to analyze the financial performance and support the development of market presentation for performance review conversation with leadership team.
  • Provide detailed analysis of focus areas of performance using important metrics and trends, including timely presentation to the business of any insights and interventions required to support future prioritization and planning.
  • Drive a program of continuous improvement within the MI landscape to promote digital transformation, standardization and simplification through a systematic approach.

Performance Reporting

  • Ensure the MI requirements of the business are met in the most effective and efficient way and are aligned with the business and wider SPU MI strategy.
  • Ensure transactions and results are recorded, reported and forecasted with integrity, transparency and in a timely manner in accordance with financial and control policies.
  • Measure and use business insight to provide commentary on forecast variances to facilitate decision-making and ensure forecasts remain accurate and robust.

Business Partnering

  • Facilitate conversations with relevant parties to ensure underlying performance is well understood, transparent, and the right actions are in place to achieve an agreed short-term performance and long-term strategic targets.
  • Work closely with the business leaders and maintain strong relationships in wider Finance team.
  • Support projects and ad hoc assignments with timely manner according to Finance team or Business requirements.

Control and Compliance

  • Provide assurance that the relevant business controls and systems are in place throughout the business and are stayed in sync with the agreed policy / procedure such as tracking discount / rebates against Sales Policy, Pricing monitoring aligned with IPP, Capex and Trade loan management, JDE data accuracy, DoA, Distributor MCE, T&E Policy, and relevant policies or guidance.

Leadership

  • Supervise Finance Analysts, coach and develop competencies of the team to be able to support business and wider Finance team successfully.
  • Facilitate the development - leading on HSSE, motivating staff, building Planning & Performance capability, developing talent and ensuring effective execution of the team's accountabilities with focus on continuous improvement.
