Short Description

We are looking for a Tunnel Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the design, planning, and execution of tunnelling works in a major tunnelling project in New York.

Function Description

For this project, your main tasks will be:

• Assist in planning and execution of tunnel works (TBM)
• Review IFC drawings, specifications, and method statements
• Coordinate daily activities with superintendents and subcontractors
• Monitor construction progress and prepare daily/weekly reports
• Ensure compliance with NYC regulations, OSHA standards, and project HSE plans
• Perform quantity tracking, cost control, and technical documentation
• Interface with design teams to resolve technical queries (RFIs)
• Monitor tunneling parameters and ground conditions
• Assist in risk assessments and method statement preparation
• Participate in inspections and quality control activities

Requirements

• Minimum 9 years in tunnelling or underground works
• High English and/or Spanish level
• Experience with TBM projects preferred
• Knowledge of NYC construction codes and safety regulations
• Strong coordination and reporting skills
