Short Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Superintendent who will be responsible for supervising all mechanical works and equipment related to tunnelling operations in a project in New York.

Function Description

• Supervise mechanical installation and commissioning of tunnelling equipment
• Oversee TBM mechanical systems (cutterhead, propulsion, slurry system, conveyors, etc.)
• Manage mechanical crews, subcontractors, and maintenance teams
• Implement preventive maintenance programs
• Ensure availability and reliability of critical machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and coordinate repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Coordinate with STP Manager and Electrical Superintendent

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
• Min. 9 years in tunnelling projects
• Strong experience with TBMs or underground equipment
• Proven leadership and site supervision skills
• High English and/or Spanish level
