If you are a product sales professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Mansfield, MA location, you will be responsible for the complete sales cycle which includes leading and/or participating in proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer activities in accordance with company policies, contract and legal requirements, and customer specifications. You will be part of a team that produces valves and related equipment for Worldwide Nuclear Power industry.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  • Review bid packages, complete product selection and assist with project negotiations.
  • Develop a comprehensive proposal to include pricing, sizing and selection, clarification of order requirements, etc.
  • Support customers by answering inquiries regarding contract provisions, interpretation, and modifications and coordinating customer visitations.
  • Complete and provide submittal drawings and other project documentation such as quality inspection and test plans, production plans, test procedures, etc.
  • Ensure that all order/project requirements are met by interfacing with other departments including engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing operations, and finance.


WHO YOU ARE:

You establish and maintain effective customer relationships. You display a can-do attitude in good and bad times. You maintain a track record of exceeding goals successfully. You identify and create the processes necessary to get work done.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
  • Associates degree, or applicable experience
  • Experience preparing quotations and managing the fulfillment of those orders
  • Well-honed administrative writing skills, track record of building customer relationships, and demonstrated conflict resolution skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field
  • 5+ years' experience, preparing quotations and managing the fulfillment of those orders
  • Technical knowledge of valves, valve products or similar engineered products

Our compensation philosophy is simple: We pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The total target comp range for this position is $70,000 to 85,000, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
