Job Summary

At ConocoPhillips the Lower 48 segment consists of operations located in the 48 contiguous U.S. states, with a portfolio mainly consisting of low cost of supply, short cycle time, resource-rich unconventional plays and commercial operations. The majority of our acreage is unconventional. Based on 2025 production volumes, the Lower 48 is our largest segment and contributed 67 percent of our consolidated liquids production and 74 percent of our consolidated natural gas production.

In 2025, net production averaged 1,484 MBOED.

Position Overview

The Environmental Engineering Analyst supports Permian Environmental Compliance by turning complex data into clear insights that improve safety, reliability, and performance. The role develops and maintains dashboards, visualizations, and analytics tools that help leaders make informed decisions. We welcome candidates with strong data analytics experience from any industry.

Data becomes something the organization trusts and uses to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability. Workflows run smoother because the right information is available at the right time. Most importantly, both field and office teams see this analyst as a dependable partner who helps solve problems and uncover opportunities.

Your responsibilities may include:

Operational Insight

  • Build and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to track production, downtime, efficiency, and operational trends with an eye towards environmental compliance.
  • Translate data findings into clear insights that support day-to-day and long-term operational decisions.


Quality & Integration

  • Improve data accuracy, consistency, and usability across operational datasets.
  • Support smooth data flow between systems, field data capture platforms, and internal reporting tools.


Collaboration & Support

  • Help strengthen digital workflows and analytics capabilities across the environmental organization.
  • Support rollout processes for tools and dashboards, including education and support of end users.
  • Help with the administration of key applications, systems, and dashboards.


Continuous Improvement

  • Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities that enhance operational performance.
  • Support projects focused on data integration, workflow improvements, and analytics modernization.
  • Supplement data-oriented projects.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience transforming complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience working with large datasets or operational data systems used to support daily operations.
  • Intermediate proficiency with a data visualization platform (such as Power BI, Spotfire, etc.).
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, or similar languages.
  • Exposure to Snowflake or other data warehousing solutions.


Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data/Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or similar technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels.
  • Experience improving data workflows or supporting data driven initiatives.
  • Understanding of HSE, engineering, maintenance, or field operations concepts.
