Position Overview

The Distributor Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for building and managing a high-performance distributor channel ecosystem. This role drives distributor capability development, technical exchange, partner engagement, and marketing activity support to strengthen ABB's market presence and channel competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Distributor Empowerment

  • Design and deliver training programs covering business processes, order management, and compliance to ensure distributors master standard operating procedures.
  • Organize industry track, new product, and solution skills training to enhance distributors' market competitiveness.
  • Coordinate Upskill enablement sessions to strengthen their roles in market promotion and technical support.
  • Conduct quarterly Technical Capability Assessments (TD) and star-rating evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage the distributor credit and reward system to incentivize active participation in training and activities.

2. Distributor Marketing Events Management

  • Plan and organize distributor marketing events, including organize workshops and face-to-face training sessions to strengthen the partner technical capability framework.
  • Facilitate regular roundtable meetings between distributors and ABB management to share market intelligence and co-develop collaboration strategies.
  • Plan and execute interactive sharing events and enablement activities to stimulate partnership potential.
  • Coordinate technical backbone members for industry promotion and technical exchange initiatives to distributor.

3. Distributor Partner Ecosystem Development

  • Build and nurture a collaborative partner ecosystem culture that promotes mutual growth and deep integration.
  • Research and adapt international best practices to optimize local market strategies.
  • Establish and manage a distributor communication and exchange platform to foster experience sharing and collaborative innovation.
  • Break down information silos between ABB and distributors, enabling unified access to resources, news, and training materials.
  • Ensure real-time dissemination of market updates, product information, and training content.
  • Manage BBS community interactions to enhance community engagement and knowledge exchange.

4. Distributor Academy & Collaboration Platform

  • Operate and develop the Distributor learning platform as the core platform for systematic training and capability building.
  • Organize regular distributor Roundtable meetings for technical and market knowledge exchange.
  • Plan and launch the online Distributor Community to promote ongoing interaction and collaboration among channel partners.

5. Marketing Activity Support & Incentive Management

  • Review and approve distributor-initiated marketing activities and calculate corresponding rebates to encourage self-driven innovation.
  • Drive Local Field Validation Testing (FVT) activities to enhance local market adaptability.
  • Organize quarterly exclusive distributor engagement events to strengthen partnerships and recognize top performers.
  • Manage quarterly points budget, supporting distributor point redemption and incentive programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing or chaannel management;
  • Familiarity with the industrial automation, electrical, or related B2B market is preferred.
  • Strong self driven, project management and multi-stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in digital platforms for training content delivery and community management.
  • Fluent in English is required.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive results in a matrix organization.
