Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Planning Intern through June 12th at 11:59 p.m.

The selected candidate will support the Planning & Performance team in the analysis and monitoring of operational (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) expenditures, with primary focus on OPEX. They will contribute to the development, validation, and enhancement of financial reports, dashboards, and executive presentations. They will also be in charge of performing data-driven analysis to identify cost drivers, trends, and optimization opportunities across Empresas Mixtas (EMs). Lastly, they will assist in the standardization and continuous improvement of spending analysis processes and reporting tools.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Conduct historical spending analysis, including validation and reconciliation of data from internal databases to ensure consistency and accuracy. Identify and analyze key cost drivers, trends, and variances versus plan, prior periods, or benchmarks. Support the breakdown of OPEX into fixed and variable components, providing insights on cost structure and behavior. Contribute to benchmarking exercises across Empresas Mixtas, highlighting performance gaps and potential efficiency opportunities. Assist in the preparation and revision of monthly actuals reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with corporate requirements. Support the optimization and maintenance of dashboards (e.g., Power BI), improving usability, data visualization, and automation. Develop and structure executive-level presentations, translating technical analysis into clear and concise insights for decision-making. Collaborate with corporate teams and as required, engage with EM counterparts to clarify assumptions, validate data, and align analyses. Propose practical cost optimization ideas based on analytical findings, under guidance from team leads. Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks and adherence to internal planning and reporting cycles.

Required Qualifications:

- Students of the following degrees: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering

- Advanced English level

Preferred Qualifications:

- Oil & Gas basic value chain knowledge

- PowerBI basic-medium level

- Power Query basic-medium level

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
