Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Inspector with strong expertise in Metro Rail infrastructure projects, particularly Depot facilities (workshops, stabling lines, OCC buildings, maintenance sheds). The role involves inspection, quality assurance, and compliance monitoring of civil and structural works to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and international codes.

Your role

• Conduct daily inspections of civil and structural works at Metro Depot facilities.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and QA/QC procedures.
• Inspect foundations, superstructure, maintenance sheds, yards, and structures.
• Monitor depot-specific works (workshops, OCC buildings, drainage, utilities).
• Verify materials and witness testing (concrete, steel, NDT, etc.).
• Maintain inspection records, NCRs, and reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in civil/Structural Engineering.
• Strong Metro experience, ideally with experience in Metro Depot facilities.
• Demonstrated experience across both civil / structural and building works with a background in MEP, roofing and cladding and finishes.
• Demonstrated experience through all stages of similar projects including integration with rail systems.
• Must be a strong "all-rounder".
• Ideally have worked previously in Dubai.

Experience

• 10+ years total experience.
• Minimum 5 years in Metro/Rail projects.
• Strong experience in Metro Depot facilities.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of concrete and steel structures.
• Understanding of depot infrastructure and construction methods.
• Familiar with QA/QC procedures and ITPs

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Good communication and reporting.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
