Job Description Summary
Join the Turbine Aerodynamics team at GE Aerospace Advanced Technology in Garching, Munich, as a Working Student, and bring your coding skills to real-world aerospace engineering challenges. Job Description
Responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of in-house software tools used by the Turbine Aerodynamics team
- Help automate engineering workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Assist with data processing, analysis, and visualization for aerodynamic applications
- Contribute to debugging, testing, and documenting software solutions
- Work closely with aerodynamic engineers to understand user needs and translate them into practical digital solutions
- Support the optimization of existing tools and scripts for performance, usability, and reliability
- Participate in implementing new features for internal engineering applications
Qualifications
- Student s in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field ( BSc 3rd year or MSc preferred)
- Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, and bash scripting
- Experience with, or strong interest in learning, AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub - Copilot
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interest in software development and digital tools for engineering applications
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team
- Very good English skills, written and spoken
- A proactive mindset with a drive to tackle challenges and achieve results .
