Overview:

Corporate Affairs Analyst

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

1. Communications
  • Draft and support development of:
    • Holding statements
    • Press releases
    • Media Q&A and key messages
    • Internal communications materials
  • Support development and execution of integrated communications plans
  • Support alignment of materials with corporate positioning and risk management principles
  • Support media monitoring, reporting, and issue tracking

2. Advocacy & Government Engagement
  • Support public policy and advocacy initiatives across SAE countries
  • Monitor regulatory and political developments relevant to the business
  • Assist in the preparation of briefing materials, talking points, and stakeholder mapping
  • Suport engagement strategies with government and industry associations
  • Maintain regulatory tracking system and risk management tools updated and accurate

3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • Support planning and execution of CSR and community engagement initiatives
  • Assist with partnerships, sponsorships, and social investment activities
  • Track implementation and support reporting on outcomes and impact

4. Emergency Response (ER) & Issues Management
  • Support Corporate Affairs readiness for emergency response situations
  • Assist in maintaining and updating communication plans, templates, and protocols
  • Contribute to scenario planning and drills as needed
  • Provide communications support during incidents, under supervision

5. Cross-functional Support
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Legal, HES, Operations, Wells, and other relevant functions
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for Corporate Affairs initiatives (events, meetings, stakeholder engagements)
  • Ensure alignment with internal governance, processes, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Political Science, Journalism, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public affairs, PR agency, or related field.
  • English (advanced/professional proficiency).
  • Portuguese (native).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience in energy sector or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or political environments in South America.

Special Considerations:
  • Position based in Rio de Janeiro.
  • Domestic and occasional international travel may be required.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
