Your role and responsibilities:
The Operations Systems Specialist plays a critical role in driving improvements across core business processes within operations by owning problems end-to-end and delivering measurable results. This role is responsible for identifying and implementing automation opportunities (including AI-enabled use cases), supporting key systems such as SAP, Snowflake, Power BI, and Shop Floor Display, and strengthening how systems enable operational execution.

This role partners directly with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Logistics, SIOP, Manufacturing, and Quality to understand challenges, influence solutions, and drive outcomes. You will lead and execute projects from problem definition through implementation, operating effectively without formal authority and take accountability for results in a fast-paced environment. Success requires strong analytical thinking, a continuous learning mindset and a high level of ownership, initiative and cross-functional collaboration.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Align to business priorities and drive continuous improvement across operations through data-driven insights and structured problem-solving
  • Partner cross-functionally (Supply Chain, Logistics, SIOP, Manufacturing, Quality) to understand processes and translate business needs into practical solutions
  • Own and deliver improvements in systems (SAP, MES) and processes-leading or supporting initiatives from problem definition through implementation
  • Identify, implement, and scale automation (including AI-enabled solutions) while enabling adoption through training, documentation, and change management

Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years OR Associate's Degree with 4+ years experience with data and reporting tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, or similar) and ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive effective decision-making
  • Ability to identify and support automation opportunities, including AI, scripting, integrations, and workflow improvements
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems and operational tools, with the ability to quickly learn, adapt, and apply new technologies in a business environment
  • Understanding of end-to-end operational processes, connecting data to real-world execution across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, quality, and SIOP
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, practical solutions and support adoption
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
