THE ROLE
A leading clean energy developer is seeking a Director, Structured Finance to lead complex energy project finance transactions and support continued growth. The Director will be responsible for structuring and executing transactions that raise capital - spanning tax equity, tax credit transfers, construction loans, and term loans. The role works closely with Structured Finance, Portfolio Finance, asset management, energy markets, legal, and finance teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Originate, structure, and execute project finance transactions enabling the development, construction, and operations of solar, battery storage, and other projects.
• Own the financing model; create internal approval materials; and evaluate transaction risks.
• Coordinate responses to due diligence on individual and portfolio financings, working closely with development, engineering, and legal teams to address investor inquiries in a timely and thorough manner.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial partners across the energy sector.
• Advise on the negotiation of critical project agreements including equipment supply agreements, PPAs, interconnection agreements, EPC contracts, and O&M agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8 years of professional experience in energy project financing, including closing tax equity transactions; background at a developer, operating company, private equity firm, management consulting firm, or bank preferred.
• Deep understanding of tax equity structures and partnership tax principles, debt facilities, and equity sale transactions.
• Significant experience building, maintaining, auditing, and editing Excel-based project finance models.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating legal documents related to tax equity and debt transactions.
