Job Purpose:

Weatherford have a great opportunity for an experienced Global Domain Champion Well Integrity to join the team in Houston, Texas, USA.

The Global Domain Champion Well Integrity will lead the alignment and integration of answer products related to Well Integrity, Production Logging and other relevant domains under the Interpretation and Evaluation Services group throughout the organization, acting as the IES focal point among Research & Development, Product Lines, Software, and the Geozones for the development and sustaining of answer products involving Well Integrity and Production Logging technologies. This role is expected to define the answer product roadmap by consolidating customer requirements and feedback in different geographies and driving the required efforts for development and commercialization.

Responsibilities:

QUALITY
  • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System.
  • Maintains Service Quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement.
  • Active participation in the investigation and closure of all PC-1 & PC-2 issues related to your product line assuring that these are closed out in a timely manner and that they are reported to line management through Weatherford process and policy.

OPERATIONS
  • Drive the strategy throughout the organization for alignment of the Well Integrity and Production logging answer products and applications relevant product lines and focus areas as established by management.
  • Determines areas of development for the Well integrity and Production Logging domains based on alignment with business priorities
  • Ensures alignment of the Weatherford Well Integrity and Production Logging products including processing and interpretation, as well as integration with other relevant subsurface evaluation domains across the different geographies.
  • Active interactions and coordination with customers as well as support to WFRD sales teams to maintain and develop further business for Weatherford's various segments from the Well Integrity and Production Logging expertise.
  • Defines innovative workflows relevant to the different markets that include the Well Integrity and Production Logging domain to provide integrated technical solutions to customers in the Intervention, Production Enhancement and P&A domains.
  • Support RD&E, Technology champions and other relevant groups on the definition of answer products related to the Well Integrity and Production Logging domain including project requirement documents, quality improvement initiatives and relevant sustaining efforts.
  • Builds and delivers detailed Well Integrity and Production logging training courses internally and/or externally.
  • Participates actively in relevant technical societies according to business priorities.
  • Assists operations teams across product lines on post-mortem root-cause analysis on operations related to the Well Integrity and Production logging domains.
  • Knows and understands Weatherford's Operational Excellence & Performance System (OEPS) and the Quality Policy and complies with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
  • Performs all other IES activities/duties as indicated by the IES Global Director.

COMMUNICATION
  • Creates and maintains effective communication with all key stakeholders internally and externally. Interact with different groups at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Communicates with the IES community, Production Lines, Commercial teams, R&D, software and other relevant groups highlights/lowlights, opportunities, challenges and grievances.
  • Develops strong relationships with current and potential clients (internal or external)
  • Adjusts technical conversations to different levels according to the target audience.
  • Resolves conflicts between competing stakeholders by prioritizing according to corporate priorities in alignment with IES support strategy.
  • Creates clear and thorough acceptance criteria to ensure that the team understands when work is complete; participates in the retrospective.
  • Provide direct, high-level support to customers for answer products related to Well Integrity and Production logging as well as intervention and remediation opportunities within Weatherford capabilities.
  • Provides training, mentoring and coaching to IES employees in order to build technical and soft skills that support business requirements of the domain.
  • Promote Weatherford's portfolio related to Well Integrity and Production Logging by active industry participation including technical papers, attending industry conferences, contributing to the development of technical marketing material, making technical sales presentations to customers, and providing other technical support to sales and operations.

FINANCIAL
  • Works with IES Geozone managers on monitoring the financial impact and performance of IES support related to Well Integrity and Production Logging domains.
  • Identifies challenges and opportunities for financial improvement and defines, communicates and executes required modifications with the relevant parties.
  • Collects and consolidates information to build business cases to prioritize sustaining and development of domain products based on financial metrics and business dynamics.
  • All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their expenses.
  • Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames and following the relevant financial policy and procedure.

PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
  • Develops strategy to expand technical and soft skills within the IES employees and other relevant groups, by providing technical training and documenting workflows and competencies that allow the development of Well integrity and Production Logging workflows and other related domains.
  • Employees have a responsibility for developing their careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Employees should engage regularly with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential.

  • Formulates, executes and evaluates strategies to drive multi-product line integration through the subsurface evaluation domains.
  • Coaches and trains junior employees at the location, geozone and global levels.

Experience & Qualifications Required:
  • BSc. In Engineering or Science in an accredited university.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Well Integrity, Production logging or relevant subsurface evaluation domains.
  • Ability to analyze a wide variety of subsurface evaluation scenarios to determine workflows and technologies of relevance to solve client's challenges (internal or external).
  • Technical knowledge of Wireline, Completions, Intervention, Remediation, Plug and abandonment and related products and services.
  • Detailed knowledge of the customer's main objectives in subsurface characterization and their relevance to WFRD business.
  • General knowledge of the different WFRD segments and their relevance to the IES domains to identify opportunities for integrated solutions and to design collaboration plans.
  • Ability to develop and deliver professional presentations.
  • Strong organizational and effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to make decisions and be able to identify and implement appropriate improvements.
  • Excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, negotiating, influencing, and planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability and willingness to develop business acumen skills through internal and external courses, and practical on-the-job training.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively train and mentor personnel in classroom and field environments.

Experience & Qualifications Preferred:
  • Experience in variety of Well integrity and Production logging technologies and applications.
  • Experience in process implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in business development and/or management.
  • Proven record on conception and execution of collaboration projects.
  • Experience in multiple segments or functions relevant to subsurface evaluation domains.
  • Experience in training, competency and development of peers and junior employees.
  • Skill in examining tenders, market conditions and operational requirements.

Travel Required:
  • This role will require domestic and international travel of up to 25-50%.
