We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Installation Methods) to join our Pipeline Group team in Sutton, London, on a full-time, permanent basis. We are also willing to consider candidates on a long-term contract basis.
The Pipeline Group (PG) is responsible for developing and delivering fit-for-purpose rigid pipeline installation methods and associated analysis, supporting both projects and tenders. The team places a clear emphasis on ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective offshore installation operations.
As part of a specialised team of installation engineers, you will work across a range of pipeline installation methods, including S-Lay, J-Lay, and Reel Lay, supporting either project delivery or tender activities.
This position offers the opportunity to see your work through from concept to execution. You will be expected to follow your scope globally, including travel to project locations and offshore assignments on installation vessels. As such, flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.

What will you be doing?
This is a diverse and practical role offering involvement across the full project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting global projects from initial engagement with both internal and external stakeholders through to successful offshore execution aboard reel lay vessels.
- Preparing installation method statements and procedures, contributing to procurement activities, and ensuring effective coordination and follow-up with subcontractors.
- Performing installation rigging calculations and developing rigging designs.
- Assisting the Tendering team with feasibility assessments, methodology development, manhour estimates, scheduling input, and cost support.
- Coordinating the procurement, fabrication, and testing of installation aids, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Contributing to HSEQ initiatives and developing technical presentations where required.
- Following and supporting your assigned scope offshore during installation campaigns.
What experience would we like you to have?

- Degree in Engineering, Marine, Naval Architecture, Offshore Technology, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
- Experience in a Project Engineer role focused on offshore pipeline installation, ideally with exposure to reel lay operations (Reel Lay, J-Lay, or S-Lay).
Applicants with experience in broader subsea engineering disciplines will also be considered. - Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. Capable of working on their own as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experienced in producing clear and accurate technical documentation, including offshore method statements and operational procedures.
- Demonstrates effective organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver work within agreed deadlines.
