Wood is recruiting for a Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. in this role one will be responsible to :
- Carry out the Material & Corrosion Engineering FEED activities (Define stage) for a Mega Project and/or several Medium Projects in order to generate relevant FEED deliverables on time, meeting QMS requirement according to DCAF requirements.
- Ensure design integrity and deliverables quality for all areas within a Mega project with special emphasis on interfaces and continuous improvements.
Position is based in Muscat, Oman.

Typical responsibilities
- Ability to develop CTR based on scope of work and provide input to finalise the project execution schedule
- Manage work assignments, work load, work forecasting for assigned project
- Participate in HAZID, Design Reviews, HAZOP's, 3D Model Reviews, IPF Classifications, HSE related Workshops.
- Implement/practice/monitor Quality Management System in assigned projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirements and DCAF requirement.
- Collaborate, build relationships, and manage interfaces with other FEED Office disciplines, assets project teams, etc. in the assigned project.
- Ensure seamless handover of FEED Deliverables to asset project and operations teams.
- Ensure meeting document control deadlines in the assigned project.
- Knowledge Transfer to Omani staffs
- Maintain good relationship with the project team, which is critical to the (design) project success.
- Promote team working environment where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.
- Demonstrate repeatability and constant improvement in projects across a broad range of geographic, technical, and cultural differences.
- Develop/share best practices, work processes, system and tools, based on experience gained in projects.
- Able to handle efficiently multiple medium projects.
- Analyze / Support Technical deviation to Company / Shell / International standard

Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgy Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years in FEED/ENGINEERING and Minimum 10 years in oil & gas Experience.
- Work in a matrix organization and handle multiple reporting relationships and project responsibilities.
- Working effectively with diverse, multi-cultural teams, peers, and stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; Written and Spoken.
- TA2 Certification
