RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assisting the supervisor with supervision, coordination, testing and commissioning of various Electrical facilities onshore and offshore. Tasks will be set by the Supervisor or his nominated deputy from whom the foreman will receive instructions and to whom foreman shall report. The foreman shall also be responsible for the safety and conduct of contractor personnel and shall ensure that contract personnel abide by and respect company safety standards
  • Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable workpack job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings sketches
  • Be able to clearly communicate and converse in English, and to be able to read technical drawings
  • Analytical ability to solve simple technical problems associated with his own discipline, plan and control work and materials
  • Provide support to other trades disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi - discipline team
  • Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner
  • Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner
  • Familiar with Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) standards.
  • Working knowledge in Hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic instrument including installation, configuration, testing, calibration, loop checking, operate, troubleshoot, maintain and inspection of transmitter (Flow, Temperature, Pressure, Level), Fire & Gas devices, Control Valves and ABVs.
  • Ability to interpret various documents such as Instrument Loop Drawing, Relay logic diagram, Instrument Termination Drawing, MTO etc.
  • Working knowledge in tubing fabrication, bending including the use of hand tools such as tubing bender, tubing cutter etc.
  • Familiar with the testing equipment such as Pressure & Temperature Calibrators, Hart Communicator, Digital Multimeters etc.
  • Working knowledge with ICSS systems (i.e. Honeywell, Schneider, Emerson, Yokogawa, Siemens etc).
  • Maintain as-built drawings after construction work has completed.


QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:
  • Recognized apprenticeship
  • National Diploma level or equivalent (Minimum of City & Guilds 803 Part 3
  • CompEx
  • Verifiable evidence - CV
  • BOSIET Approved Offshore Medical
  • 10 years' construction and commissioning experience (excluding training) in the oil petrochemical industry with knowledge and familiarity with industry terminology, practices, and standards

Desirable:
  • MIST
  • WAH
  • ISSOW
  • First Step for Supervision
  • CDCA Competence Assurance Assessor Training
  • Preferably a Bruneian
  • Shell experience
