JOB PURPOSE :
Develop, maintain, communicate, and govern Enterprise Architectures (across business, data, application, and technology domains) and roadmaps.
Align with corporate strategies, business goals and technology strategies and plan to effectively achieve current and future objectives.
Works with the Digital governance teams to establish the required strategies, standards, and procedures, also with the Digital compliance teams to ensure the strict compliance of all domain activities with the ADNOC Group governance requirements.
Provide expertise advice for all functions across ADNOC and Group Companies to build the architectural capability assuring robust design, implementation and optimal performance of the Digital infrastructure, systems, data, applications, and services to achieve overall business process improvement and alignment of corporate ADNOC Group Digital vision with overall business strategy.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide consultation and architecture support to business and Group Digital transformation programs and initiatives in accordance with Enterprise Architecture (EA) guidance.
- Participate in the development of all required Group Digital strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders to determine how Digital enterprise platforms enable organizational business strategies and functions.
- Assist with developing Digital strategies and design enterprise architectures that align Digital capabilities to strategic business goals and priorities.
- Assess and adapt to company business process, services, capabilities, systems, and data views to meet program objectives.
- Deliver and present fit-for-purpose architecture models and views to communicate the states of architecture products with program stakeholders focused on making enterprise-wide decisions.
- Develop and guide current and future Enterprise Architecture (Business, Information, Technology and Application) to bring about business improvements and technology advancements.
- Develop/update EA standards and practices in line with organizational strategies, quality standards and industry norms.
- Develop and influence the adoption of EA methods, practices, and standards in par with industry trends.
- Develop and guide the Solution Architects to fulfil the EA related daily operational activities
- Develop and Maintain the Enterprise Architecture Governance Framework
- Perform architecture reviews of solution selection & design, and of project deliverables against future architecture standards through architecture stage gates
- Provide need-based training and education on Enterprise Architecture tools, methods, and processes to the wider community
- Promote EA processes, outcomes, and ongoing results to the organization, including Digital and Business organizations.
- Develop and rationalize transformation roadmaps based on Enterprise Architecture future state -gap- analysis to fulfil the business requirements and priorities.
- Influence and support the formation and implementation of Digital Strategies.
- Promote and support the identification and assessment of new and emerging technologies, services products, methods, and techniques, and evaluate their implications on ADNOC's enterprise architecture and make recommendations to enhance the ADNOC Group capabilities.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and standardisation of new/existing Enterprise Architecture processes and standards to ensure appropriate use and maintenance in line with quality standards and industry best practices.
- Lead ADNOC Digital architecture board meetings.
Digital services continuity & recovery planning
- Lead the departmental efforts in establishing all plans, processes, and tools to enable the required levels of Digital services continuity.
Support the Digital service delivery and operations
- Collaborate with all Digital service delivery, service operations, program management and governance teams to identify opportunities for Digital services improvements.
- Formally review all domain architectures and implementation projects to ensure their alignment with the overall Digital and domain roadmaps, strategies, principals, and quality standards.
- Guide and actively participate in the service demand and change management processes by reviewing the new demands and change requests and their impact on the current and planned architectures.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the domain service delivery teams for building business cases and architecture artifacts.
- Provide expert advice relating to risks, threats, concerns, and opportunities of new service demands or changes.
- Review and recommend the most suitable domain technical architectures and defines the most suitable solutions in coordination with the other architects and in full compliance with the Company enterprise architecture strategy and principals.
ADNOC governance framework awareness program
- Lead the awareness of all Digital Governance mechanisms within the department. Ensure all governance mechanisms are cascaded to the existing processes and architectures.
Other Duties
- Contribute toward and promotes the protection of ADNOC Digital assets and corporate information against threats to their security by implementing the Company information security standards and all other related policies, regulations, and guidelines.
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Provide input for preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost controls
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
- Regular contacts with leadership and End-users across ADNOC on Digital architecture matters.
- Frequent contact with Program / Project Managers / Governance Personnel and Architects on matters relating to alignment and EA practice.
- Regular contact with the counterparts in ADNOC Group Companies on intra-group coordination on Digital Architecture related issues.
External
- Frequent contact with Contractors / Consultants / Suppliers on matters relating to Digital Architecture.
- Technical meetings for Services / Solutions architecture aspects with contractors and all other teams across ADNOC and other stakeholders.
- Occasional contacts with senior management of international oil companies for exchange of information/benchmarking/study visits and training programs.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 9 years of relevant core IT experience including at least 5 years in positions of managerial responsibility in IT with emphasis on IT architecture management.
- Strong Understanding of industry best practice for Enterprise Architecture domains
- Strong Understanding of key business processes in the Oil and Gas industry
- Experience in the definition and management of Domain Architecture blueprints and roadmaps to meet strategic needs of businesses in the Oil and Gas industry
- Breadth and depth of Experience across architectural domains; data, application portfolios, infrastructure, and solution delivery
- Knowledge of various IT disciplines like planning, business analysis, business process design and re-engineering, systems development and implementation, project management and auditing
- Knowledge of related best practices, methodologies, and frameworks like ITIL, PMBOK and COBIT
- Strong understanding of all elements of management systems, i.e. the differences and interrelationships between strategy, policy, process, procedures, guidelines and standards
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments, yet neutral toward technology, vendor, and product choices
- Strong knowledge of finance and budgeting
Recommended Professional Certifications
- Professional Certifications in Open Group TOGAF.
- System Architecture, Security Architecture, Data Architecture, Network Design, and IT Services Management certifications.
