Job Role Description
The Development and Production Geoscientist - Advanced is responsible for using specialized geoscience education and experience, along with necessary scientific tools and methodologies, to design and build elements of the geoscience reservoir characterization and connectivity analysis that leads to the development, optimization and reservoir management of subsurface assets for the organization. This role can be relied on for independent integrated mapping skills, team mentoring, and using judgement to plan own work. Furthermore, advanced practitioners are expected to leverage subject-matter experts as peer reviewers to test logic and optimize from diverse perspectives
Job Role Responsibilities
Independently synthesizes reservoir-scale synthesis of subsurface frameworks and cohesive characterization models to ensure interpretations are reliable and supported by sound decision making and business judgment
Upscales multifaceted geoscience information in any asset into useful and credible maps, diagrams, and / or analytics
Contributes to cohesive reservoir geoscience data collection, prediction, and curation efforts that align with both central support and local business needs
Collaborates with team on the integration, iteration, and communication of reservoir scale subsurface interpretations
Supports skill discipline specific communities of practice maintenance through participation in peer reviews, mentoring, informal teaching, curriculum development, and the sharing of best practices
Advises team on reservoir specific subsurface evaluation investment and assurance strategies and provides technical leadership for mentoring / training, technical assurance needs, technology development and deployment, and process optimizations
Represents development and production geoscience skills depth for any strategic external leveraging needs such as influencing partners, promoting high quality technical skills, informing benchmarking, developing new technology solutions with vendors, and so on
