Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager with a strong background in high-rise building projects. The incumbent will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control to ensure timely delivery aligned with project objectives.
Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain the Master Project Schedule using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Coordinate with the Project Manager and discipline leads to ensure realistic timelines for design, procurement, and construction activities.
Monitor progress against the baseline schedule and update regularly.
2. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and client review.
Analyze schedule slippages and cost overruns; recommend corrective actions.
Maintain dashboards for real-time project performance metrics.
3. Risk Management
Identify potential risks related to schedule and cost.
Work with the Project Manager to develop mitigation strategies.
Update risk registers and contingency plans regularly.
4. Resource Planning
Coordinate manpower and equipment planning with site teams.
Ensure resource allocation aligns with the project schedule.
5. Change Management
Evaluate the impact of design changes or scope variations on cost and schedule.
Prepare revised forecasts and obtain approvals for change orders.
6. Coordination & Communication
Act as a key interface between the Project Manager, site team, and client for planning and cost matters.
Conduct regular review meetings with stakeholders.
7. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to company standards and contractual obligations.
Maintain accurate records of schedules, budgets, and reports for audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Overall minimum experience of 20 years
Minimum 5 years experience in high rise projects
