As part of a major capital investment (CapEx) project involving the expansion of a manufacturing line, you will lead the design, installation, and qualification phases of HVAC and clean utilities infrastructure. You will act as the technical owner on behalf of the client, overseeing engineering contractors and ensuring full compliance with the highest regulatory and quality standards.

You will act as the technical owner on behalf of the client, overseeing engineering contractors and ensuring full compliance with the highest regulatory and quality standards.
HVAC & Clean Utilities Lead (M/F) : What will be your roles and responsibilities?
- Project Leadership: Support the project throughout all phases, from concept design, basic design, and detailed design through construction, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ).
- External Engineering Oversight: Review, challenge, and approve technical deliverables produced by EPCM contractors and engineering service providers.
- Interface Management: Serve as the primary technical point of contact between the project team, engineering, manufacturing operations, and Quality Assurance.
- Technical Leadership: Facilitate technical workshops and design reviews while driving technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Actively participate in risk assessments and change control activities while ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and cGMP regulations, including EU GMP Annexes 11 and 15.
What profile and skills are required for this HVAC & Clean Utilities Lead (M/F) position?
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HVAC and clean utilities engineering within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven experience managing large-scale CapEx projects and working closely with EPCM contractors.
- Previous experience on the client's site or familiarity with its existing facilities and infrastructure would be considered a significant advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in the design of controlled environments and cleanrooms, including pressure cascade management.
- In-depth knowledge of clean utility systems, including:
- Purified Water (PW)
- Water for Injection (WFI)
- Pure Steam
- Process Gases
Regulatory Knowledge
- Thorough understanding of ISPE Guidelines, EU GMP/cGMP requirements, and qualification and validation principles.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interact with multiple stakeholders.
- Highly organized, analytical, and solution-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Languages
- Fluent in both French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification in a scientific, pharmaceutical, or industrial discipline.
