SENIOR FLOW ASSURANCE ENGINEERS - CONTRACT – SURREY
Our Client is urgently seeking two Senior Flow Assurance Engineers to work on an Oil and Gas FEED project for an initial 6-month contract role with an immediate start. This role is working on an offshore compression platform; therefore, the Client will require offshore experience.

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in single and multiphase pipelines (steady state and transient hydraulic) analyses using industry standard software, e.g. OLGA, PIPESIM, PIPENET etc. is essential
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in flow assurance modelling using OLGA transient simulation software
- Strong experience in assessing flow assurance issues such as slugging, hydrates, wax, erosion, corrosion etc. using simulation software and providing mitigation solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-discipline project team with minimal supervision
- Experience in pipeline sizing and thermo-hydraulics studies, including transient analysis covering shutdown, blowdown, start-up, ramp-up / turndown scenarios
- Experience in pipeline overpressure protection studies including surge pressure analysis
- Strong understanding of flow assurance challenges including slugging, hydrates, wax, erosion, corrosion and mitigation methods
- Good understanding of thermodynamics and experience of Multiflash preferred
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes and standards
- Excellent computer skills, with strong oral and written presentation/report writing ability
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience in conceptual and front-end studies and topsides process engineering activities including process modelling in HYSYS would be an advantage but not essential
- Proven ability to plan and execute studies
- Experience presenting technical work to clients
- Operational experience would be an advantage but not essential
- Previous Aramco project experience preferred, however strong candidates without Aramco experience will still be considered
JOB SCOPE:
You will work as part of small project teams developing concept and early project definition in the Oil and Gas sector.
As a Senior Flow Assurance Engineer your main responsibilities will include:
- Act as a flow assurance engineer on upstream projects and conduct Flow Assurance studies using software packages such as OLGA, PIPESIM etc.
- Develop pipeline simulation models, perform simulations and assess results
- Perform design calculations and prepare technical reports in line with company and project requirements
- Report to Flow Assurance SME
- Contribute to flow assurance strategies, philosophies and procedures
DURATION: 6 months initially. Start ASAP.
LOCATION: The role will be based on 5 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Surrey.
RATE: £62.50 per hour Ltd co rate
If the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
BENEFITS: Limited Company contract Outside IR35.
