As a 2nd Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the vessel's propulsion, power generation, and specialized fallpipe systems. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining peak performance for our critical subsea construction activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel's main engines, auxiliary machinery, and fallpipe equipment.
• Manage and supervise engine room personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with all international maritime regulations (STCW, MLC) and company policies.
• Assist the Chief Engineer in planning and executing dry dockings, surveys, and major overhauls.
• Maintain accurate records of machinery performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to a strong safety culture onboard, actively participating in drills and emergency preparedness.

Requirements

Candidates must hold the following valid certifications and qualifications:

• Certificate of Competency (CoC) - 2nd Engineer
• Medical Seafarer MLC
• STCW III/2 certification
• DP certificate
• BOSIET or FOET (with CA-EBS)
• GWO Sea Survival
• Seaman's book
