This position is ideal for offshore professionals with certified expertise in rope access and welding. The role combines technical execution with strict adherence to safety standards, ensuring high-quality fabrication and repair work on offshore vessels and structures
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Perform welding on offshore equipment and structural components using rope access techniques
- Prepare and inspect surfaces before welding operations
- Execute cutting and grinding tasks as required for fabrication and repair
- Ensure compliance with welding procedures, safety protocols, and permit systems
- Maintain welding tools and rope access equipment in proper working condition
- Complete documentation including reports, timesheets, and inspection records
- Assist in rescue plans and work-at-height emergency procedures
- Communicate effectively with project coordinators and offshore teams
- Monitor consumables, materials, and stock levels onboard
- Maintain safe work areas

- IRATA Level I certification (mandatory)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in rope access welding operations
- Strong knowledge of welding inspection and fabrication standards
- Experience in offshore welding, cutting, and structural repair
- Surface preparation tools (grinders, cutters, polishers, etc.)
- Welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, MIG/MAG)
- Cutting and grinding techniques for offshore structures
- National and international welding standards
Certifications and Documents:
- IRATA Level I Certification
- CBSP (Basic Offshore Safety Training)
- Welding Course issued by a recognized training center
- ASME and AWS 6G Position Certification issued by a recognized authority
- T-HUET or T-BOSIET
- NR-33 (Work in Confined Spaces Certification)
- NR-34 (Work at Heights Certification)
