Contract Duration: 7 Months

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 Hours per Day

is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support a major capital infrastructure project based in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile energy and engineering programme, working alongside project management, engineering, and contractor teams to drive best-in-class safety performance across all project activities.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery teams and contractors by ensuring health & safety standards, legislation, and site procedures are implemented effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with project management teams and contractors to ensure all safety requirements are fully implemented on site

Provide professional advice and guidance on health & safety matters across project activities

Conduct safety assurance audits and inspections to verify compliance with legislative and project standards

Promote a proactive safety culture across project teams and contractor personnel

Lead and participate in incident and near-miss investigations

Develop and facilitate safety learning forums and workshops

Review contractor safety documentation, procedures, and risk assessments

Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to health & safety performance

Requirements

Essential

Minimum 10 years' Health & Safety experience within the construction industry on large-scale projects

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, standards, and codes of practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities

Ability to work independently and use initiative

Level 7 Qualification in Health & Safety

Desirable

Experience working on utility or energy infrastructure projects

Experience supporting large-scale generation or industrial construction projects

Level 8 Qualification in Health & Safety

Engineering or project management background

Location & Travel

This role is based full-time at project offices in Cork.

Approved business-related travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with project policy and subject to prior approval.

Safety Requirements

All contractors must comply fully with site Health & Safety regulations and project requirements, including:

Full PPE compliance at all times

Steel toe safety boots compliant with S3 EN ISO 20345

Valid SafePass certification

Up-to-date Manual Handling training

Candidates must also have access to:

A personal mobile phone

Laptop/PC and internet access

The ability to engage professionally throughout the duration of the assignment
