We are looking for a professional and clear leader for a newly established department within Method & Onshore Construction Management. Therole requires solid offshore experience from multidisciplinary EPCI projects,combined with experience in personnel management.

The department will consist of approx. 50 employees within Method, Construction Management, Onshore Installation Management, ConstructionEngineering and Welding. The role reports to Head of Method & Constructionand is further a vital part of the new MA Operations organization. Our organizational common strategic target driving allour involved employees: Delivery of fully Equipped end-to-end Teams to ourProjects capable of parallel and functional Execution across contracts andbusiness units.

Why this role matters:
  • Maintain full personnel responsibility for the employees in the department and ensure good follow-up, development and working environment
  • Lead and further develop the department in line with the company's goals, requirements and priorities
  • Be professionally responsible and process owner for the disciplines in the department.
  • Ensure effective, standardized methods, processes and tools across projects.
  • Drive competence development, experience transfer and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain resource management of the department's resources
  • Define hiring needs based on received MPRs and communicate these internally
  • Be responsible for the discipline's contribution to the company's tender work

Key responsibilities:
  • Personnel and line management
    • Personnel responsibility for the department's employees in collaboration with HR.
    • Follow-Up of sick leave, overtime and resource use.
    • Performance appraisals and individual development plans.
    • Build a healthy working environment, team spirit and professional community.
  • Professional management
    • Establish and lead professional networks for disciplines under the department.
    • Ensure cooperation and transfer of experience in professional networks, between departments, projects and business areas.
    • Drive improvements and establish best practices and guidelines.
    • Update engineering norms for the discipline when necessary.
    • Follow up on deviations (Symbio) within the discipline until closure.
  • Process ownership and methods
    • Be responsible for the development, maintenance and compliance of work processes.
    • Process owner in Comply for the disciplines under the department.
    • Process responsibility in Comply can be delegated to the professional network when appropriate.
    • Develop and maintain methods, processes, procedures, instructions and checklists in accordance with the QA system and regulations.
    • Follow up on KPIs of products for the department
  • Ensure compliance with governing documentation.

Relevant experience and competence

SHOULD HAVE:

  • Clear leadership profile with the ability to lead through others and build strong professional environments
  • High integrity and strong professional credibility
  • Structured and systematic approach
  • QHSE awareness.
  • Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
  • Well-developed analytical skills and good professional assessment skills
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Proactive, solution-oriented and result-oriented

MUST HAVE:
  • Background from one of the mechanical disciplines such as mechanical, piping or structure/steel.
  • Good knowledge of installation methods used offshore and some experience with follow-up on fabrication of pipe and steel sections and test assembly activities on land
  • 5 - 10 years of experience from a leading role offshore with relevant experience able to lead our work process improvement work
  • University education/technical school in a relevant field
  • 3 - 5 years of experience from a similar role with personnel management responsibility
