Our Tax Graduate Program is designed to provide a strong foundation for a long-term career in taxation. Over the course of three years, participants rotate through key tax disciplines, gaining practical experience and exposure to the complete tax lifecycle, from compliance and tax accounting to planning and indirect taxes.
As an Accountant Graduate, you will support tax accounting, tax compliance, tax planning, and indirect tax activities while learning how tax reporting and planning decisions impact financial results and business performance across a global organization.

We are looking for talented, curious, and forward-thinking individuals who are passionate about technology, innovation, data analytics, and the energy transition to join the TotalEnergies Tax Graduate Program.
As one of TotalEnergies' newest graduate development programs, the Tax Graduate Program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the tax function through rotational assignments across Tax Compliance, Tax Planning, and Indirect Tax. Throughout the program, participants will gain hands-on experience supporting a global multi-energy company while developing expertise in tax technology, automation, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and process improvement.
This three-year rotational program is designed to build technical expertise, develop strategic business insight, and provide broad exposure to how tax supports business operations and decision-making across renewables, electricity, natural gas, refining, chemicals, trading, and other areas of the TotalEnergies portfolio.

Activities
Key Responsibilities & Activities
- Support preparation and review of federal and state income tax compliance filings
- Assist with tax provision and financial reporting activities, including deferred tax analyses and effective tax rate calculations
- Support quarterly federal and state estimated tax payment calculations
- Assist in maintaining tax basis balance sheets and supporting schedules
- Conduct tax research and summarize findings for management review
- Support tax planning projects through data gathering, validation, and analysis
- Assist with responses to tax audits, examinations, and information requests
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting tax operations
- Collaborate with Tax, Finance, Legal, and external advisors on key projects and initiatives
- Participate in rotational assignments across Tax Compliance, Tax Accounting, Tax Planning, and Indirect Tax
- Develop an understanding of how tax decisions impact financial reporting, business operations, and strategic objectives
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's in Taxation is preferred, but not required.
- Basic understanding of corporate tax concepts and accounting principles
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with numerical data, including ability to organize, analyze, and validate data sets
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach, including willingness to ask questions, identify issues, and follow through on assigned work
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across Tax, Finance, and business teams
