Our Tax Graduate Program is your launchpad to a dynamic and rewarding career within the tax profession. Over the course of three years, you will rotate across key tax disciplines, gaining hands-on experience and developing a broad understanding of how tax supports business strategy, financial reporting, compliance, and operations.

As a Tax Technology Graduate, you will play a key role in helping transform the tax function through data-driven solutions, automation, and emerging technologies. You will support initiatives focused on improving efficiency, enhancing reporting capabilities, and reducing manual processes while gaining exposure to the full tax lifecycle.

The program offers more than just a job - it provides a career-building experience that includes:
  • Structured rotational assignments across Tax Compliance, Tax Planning, and Indirect Tax
  • Hands-on training and professional development opportunities
  • Formal and informal mentoring networks
  • Exposure to technology, automation, analytics, and AI initiatives
  • Opportunities to collaborate with Tax, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders

Successful applicants will join the program by October 1, 2026.

Activities

Key Responsibilities & Activities
  • Analyze tax-related data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Develop and support automation solutions that streamline tax processes and reduce manual effort
  • Utilize emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, validation, and workflow efficiency
  • Support data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and analysis activities
  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and analytical insights for management and business stakeholders
  • Monitor data quality and investigate discrepancies across systems and tax reporting processes
  • Document and standardize tax workflows, controls, and technology procedures
  • Collaborate with Tax, Finance, and IT teams on system enhancements and technology-focused initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement projects that enhance scalability, efficiency, and reporting accuracy
  • Participate in rotational assignments across Tax Compliance, Tax Planning, and Indirect Tax
  • Develop an understanding of how tax reporting, planning, and operational activities support business objectives across a global energy company

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Strong interest in AI, automation, and data-driven process improvement

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, pivot tables)

  • Familiarity with data tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python) is a plus

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work with large datasets

  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across functions

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies

As one of TotalEnergies' newest graduate development programs, the Tax Graduate Program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the tax function through rotational assignments across Tax Compliance, Tax Planning, and Indirect Tax. Throughout the program, participants will gain hands-on experience supporting a global multi-energy company while developing expertise in tax technology, automation, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and process improvement.

This three-year rotational program is designed to build technical expertise, develop strategic business insight, and provide broad exposure to how tax supports business operations and decision-making across renewables, electricity, natural gas, refining, chemicals, trading, and other areas of the TotalEnergies portfolio.
