The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing complex corporate tax returns and relevant internal reports.

• Prepare, review and file entities corporate tax returns and indirect tax returns.
• Review statutory fiscal accounts to meet filing deadlines.
• Prepare, review and submit internal management reports, including consolidation and review prior to submission to GeoMarket.
• Identify and deliver continuous process improvements; support and implement automation.
• Achieve operational effectiveness targets set for controls, and identify control improvements.
• Deliver on Tax effectiveness and efficiency targets.
• Coach less senior members of the Tax team.
• Support on tax audits as required.
• Understand and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

• BSc. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or ACCA Level 2 Certification
• Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm as a Tax Analyst or Payroll Analyst with responsibility for computing and setting Income Tax Liabilities is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Trinidad and Guyana Income Tax Acts.
• Understanding of the CARICOM Tax Treaty and its application on Income Tax computations
• Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills
• Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills
• Confidential, mature and adept at managing complex issues
