Short Description

We are seeking an experienced Mudman to join an HDD crew on a short-term project in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of drilling fluids to support efficient and safe drilling operations using a fully electric 45-ton Herrenknecht rig.

The Mudman will work closely with the Driller and HDD crew to ensure optimal drilling fluid performance throughout all phases of the project.

Function Description

• Prepare and mix drilling fluids according to project specifications and ground conditions.
• Monitor and maintain mud properties, including viscosity, density, sand content, and fluid loss.
• Operate and maintain the mud mixing and recycling system.
• Conduct routine mud testing and accurately record results.
• Monitor fluid volumes and consumption throughout drilling operations.
• Coordinate with the Driller regarding fluid adjustments and changing ground conditions.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mudman on HDD projects.
• Good understanding of drilling fluid systems, bentonite products, and fluid management.
• Experience with mud recycling and solids control systems.
• Ability to work effectively within a drilling crew.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe working practices.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Valid EU work authorization.
