- Implement and coordinate all worksite HSE related training for company and contractor personnel.
- Perform training needs analysis and develop training courses and training plans to address worksite requirements.
- Research, evaluate and transfer to the organization knowledge of HSE training best practices and how they can be implemented.
- Participate in HSE audits and internal procedure analysis ensuring that company HSE standards adhere to international and local regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with Training Supervisor to identify worksite HSE training requirements and develop the necessary training to achieve a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ensure that all statutory HSE training requirements are met and necessary supporting documentation is issued to the relevant authority.
- Participates in preparing and adapting when necessary worksite HSE induction course.
- Develop role-based training plans and ensure that all personnel are up-to-date with their required safety certification and safety training.
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of HSE training plans for company and contractor personnel.
- Recognize and evaluate changing worksite HSE conditions and adapt training course content and HSE training plans to incorporate changing conditions and new risks.
- Prepare and deliver Permit to Work (PTW) support courses covering areas such as confined space entry, isolation lockout and tag-out, safe work practices, etc.
- Develop, disseminate and monitor implementation and effectiveness of worksite Safety Tool Box talks.
- Implement and keep up-to-date worksite safety training records database including recording the issue and where applicable expiry date of certificates and cards attesting the successful completion of safety training or safety certification.
- Prepare look-ahead plans for time sensitive training and certification and ensure sufficient notice is provided to concerned personnel to ensure refresher training or recertification is completed before expiry date.
- Develop and recommend emergency response and crisis management training.
- Implement training evaluation and feedback tools and measures that establish whether objectives are being met and validate the transfer of training into HSE performance.
- Analyze data on training impact on workplace HSE behavior; create action plans based on the results.
- Analyze worksite HSE training evaluations and feedback and develop response plans as needed, such as advising instructors on participant feedback and redesigning course content or activities.
- Incorporate training evaluation data into course design and redesign and utilize evaluation data to adjust course offerings as necessary.
- Monitor and review the progress of trainees through written exams, questionnaires and discussions with supervisors.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or a professional HSE Training qualification
- Minimum 8 years HSE training experience within oil and gas industry particularly offshore.
