We are looking for a Principal Instrument, Telecoms & SAS Engineer to join our team based in our Aberdeen (AIBP) office.

What will you be doing?

• Implementing field life solutions for our customers
• Involved in a wide variety of engineering scopes ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Minor/Major Modification and Maintenance Projects and other Specialist Services
• Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers to provide instrumentation, telecoms and Safety Automation Systems engineering services and provide technical direction to the team.
• Develop team through training and mentoring.
• Implementing professional engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and completion activities in a competent and efficient manner maintaining quality at all times.
• Liaise with client and other stakeholders in the execution of the project scopes.
• Define the scopes of work required to align with clients' requirements and provide input to budget estimates and planning to implement the scope.
• Be innovative in identifying technical solutions.
• Ensure team delivers work on Schedule and within Budget and in accordance with company procedures meeting the requirements of the project.

We think you should have:

• HND/Degree or equivalent education with 10+ years experience covering Concept studies, FEED and EPCI projects from energy sector.
• Broad competency with instrumentation
• Experience in Telecoms and Safety Automation Systems preferred
• Experience in the international engineering standards associated with this role
• Experience in participation in HAZOP/HAZID and LOPA reviews
• Knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations and NORSOK standards preferred but not essential.
• Strong work ethics and a proactive attitude
• The ability to lead, manage, train and mentor instrument discipline engineers
• A commercial mindset, good communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
