Petroplan are looking to hire a Senior Safety Engineer to work in the Technical/Process Safety team for a major Oil and Gas consultancy of ours.
This will be based in Glasgow, Edinburgh OR Aberdeen and hybrid working is offered also.
The role is a permanent staff position with a negotiable basic salary and full staff benefits.
To apply for the role you must have the following:
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering (or related) subject.
Chartered with a relevant institution.
Experience working in Process/Technical Safety,
Experience in risk and safety management.
Strong understanding of the fundamentals of QRA and other safety techniques, including consequence analysis (preferably PHAST software), with proven experience in conducting such studies.
Familiar with relevant legislation and industry standards and able to apply this knowledge and advise clients in relation to these, such as COMAH, DSEAR, Safety Case Regulations etc.
Experience in a client-facing role, showing an understanding of commercial challenges relevant to a consultancy business, confident in selling our services and winning work.
Experience of contributing to successful bids and proposals.
