NES Fircroft has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, inclusive and collaborative Operations Team Leader to join our client's Iraq-based international team. This contract Operations Team Lead role is based in Basra and offers a compelling Day Rate.

The Operations Team Leader reports to the Operations Manager and is accountable for supporting the delivery of safe, reliable and compliant operation of the field. You will also ensure that the operational interfaces between operation, maintenance, engineering, wells, subsurface and projects are effectively managed and all teams engage to get the right deliverables.

In your first few months in this Basra-based Operations Team Leader role, you can expect to:

• Direct all operations to ensure safe and reliable execution of production activities and deliver the company's HSE and production targets
• Support delivery of Annual Operating Plan and Area Development Plan
• Provide leadership to the Production team
• Manage and mentor Operations Advisor.

To apply for this Operations Team Lead role, you will need a degree in Engineering with excellent execution delivery and interpersonal skills demonstrated in the leadership of operating teams, influencing contractors and change management. You will also require the following:

• Clear knowledge and track record of Control of Work, HSE leadership and major incident control
• 10+ years of industry experience in various roles that demonstrate skills progression leading to senior management roles leading teams totalling several hundred personnel
• Good presentation and persuasion skills with effective interdisciplinary communication skills
• Well-developed staff coaching and development skills with a track record of developing local staff.
