Junior Project Manager (Solar PV)

Petroplan are pleased to be recruiting for a Junior Project Manager on behalf of a valuable partner for institutional investors in the structuring of utility-scale renewable energy projects, from solar photovoltaics to off-shore wind, from energy storage to green hydrogen production.

Main responsibilities

• Manage the project development process from site selection to completion of development
• Understand and be able to carry out technical design of the projects by means of CAD and yield simulation tools
• Understand and be able to carry out constraint analysis of the sites by means of GIS tools, geoportals, paper documents, available online or to be retrieved by direct contact with national, regional, local authorities
• Coordinate the works of external consultants, professionals, developers, technicians, authorities for the obtainment of planning, construction and operation permits, licenses, and clearances
• Perform checks on the documents provided by professionals during development for the obtainment of environmental impact assessment, single authorisation, PAS, or similar permits functional to the construction and operation of the projects
• Support and integrate the technical reporting, design, drafting, preparation of planning, construction, operations documents, and activities for the successful completion of the projects
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with external project developers, partners, subcontractors, and technical advisors
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with national, regional and local authorities, grid operators
• Assist in the preparation and management of contracts related to the development, construction, operations of the company's renewable energy projects
• Assist and support with the technical and business due diligence of existing Project and new project developments

Requirements

• Preferably but not mandatory, 3 years of project management experience in project development of renewable energy projects and electric energy markets in Italy
• Engineering degree
• Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and project management skills
• Strong interest in renewable energy
• Excellent knowledge of the Italian renewable energy market and current legislation
• Knowledgeable of the environmental and permitting regulation, constraint analysis, and planning
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Flexibility, interdisciplinary teamwork skills and willingness to travel
• Ability to perform detail-oriented, critical reviews of technical documentation
• Experience of developing proposals for work, including budgets and scopes of work
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Experience in using office, project management, CAD and GIS software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
