We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Petrophysicist our client would like to consider candidates based in this region Brisbane QLD

• Contract:1 year contract (potential for extension)
• Located  Brisbane QLD 
• Working :5 days per week & 8 hours per day (WHF 2 day week)

About the role:
The Petrophysicist reports to the Subsurface Well Delivery Manager and is responsible for the following: 

• • Deliver subsurface input in support for drilling and operational activities, including generation of wireline logging programs, supervision of wireline logging operations, interpretation of open & cased hole petrophysical data and custodian of Petrophysics openhole project. 
• • Supporting contract holder in managing the safe delivery of wireline operations. 
• • Adherence to Petrophysical data management practices and reporting requirements. 
• • Deliver integrated subsurface and petrophysical studies. 
• • Responsible for supporting emergency response activities if/when required. 
• • Regular communication, collaboration and liaising with other operational & field-based teams.

Dimensions

• Day to day interface with Operations Geologists and Petrophysicists as part of SSWD team. 
• Provide Petrophysical expertise in support of well delivery, workover and well abandonment activities
• The Petrophysicist may be rostered to work out of office hours, particularly to cover weekends and holidays as required. 
• The Petrophysicist may be required to work onsite if/when required. 
• The Petrophysicist is expected to be on call 24 hours when rostered to do so, whilst following relevant HSSE policies. 

Skils and Requirements 

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry experience. 
• Ability to influence stakeholders and decision makers to achieve an outcome. 
•  Demonstrated strong inter-personal skills (networking, communication & emotional intelligence). 
• Demonstrated strong planning and organisational skills. 
• Ability and desire to contribute to the development of a team culture (x-matrix). 
• Ability to work independently and deliver results under pressure. 
• Able to proactively manage their own professional and technical development, in consultation with their Line Manager and Discipline Lead. 
• Strength in coaching and mentoring; and a tested capacity to influence and deliver through others. 
• Techlog experience desirable. 
• Demonstrated CSG experience is advantageous.

• Flexible work options will be considered.
•  While a significant portion of the job can be done remotely, the candidate will be willing and able to regularly attend Brisbane offices for team meetings and wider business engagements.
