Position: Piping and Layout Engineer – Oil and Gas Industry

Mission:

• Perform technical tasks assigned by the Piping and Layout Lead, related with design, verification or study activities.
• Interface with other Project Specialists, Designers and Draftsman.
• Co-ordinate technical activities performed inside or outside Saipem.

Job tasks:

• Execute tasks within the designated area, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Provide technology and commercial support for development.
• Evaluate feasibility and support bidding phase/commercial proposal development.
• Contribute to bill of material and plot plan layout proposals.
• Assist in defining man-hour and cost estimates.
• Provide Piping and Layout engineering support for various projects.
• Ensure project goals and quality requirements are met.
• Analyze technical documents and identify potential risks.
• Seek cost-saving solutions for the project.
• Validate estimations and review produced documents.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Piping and Layout Engineer in the oil and gas industry or related sectors. Experience with project execution and construction activities is advantageous.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of piping design principles, layout engineering, and relevant industry standards 
• Project Experience: Familiarity with project phases, from feasibility studies and bidding to construction and start-up. Experience in coordinating and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements and their application in piping and layout design.
