Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Upstream clients to seek an Onshore Facilities Engineer to work on an initial 12-month contract in Houston, TX.
Facilities Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of project development and delivery, from early-phase concept development through commissioning and closeout. The position is responsible for management of several projects simultaneously. Project types include well pad facilities, brownfield modifications, greenfield facilities, etc. Project scope will vary in complexity and total installed cost.
Responsibilities:
Facilities Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of project development and delivery, from early-phase concept development through commissioning and closeout. The position is responsible for management of several projects simultaneously. Project types include well pad facilities, brownfield modifications, greenfield facilities, etc. Project scope will vary in complexity and total installed cost.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering expertise and collaborate with field operations and engineering contractors on design of new wellsite facilities.
- Develop AFE’s and own the monitoring and reporting of progress for facility projects.
- Adherence to requirements for project management as defined in Equinor’s Management System.
- Streamlining of project activities to be fit-for-purpose for the project scale and scope to maximize capital efficiency and flexibility to the business.
- Support field ops and production engineer to generate, evaluate and justify MOC’s.
- Steward safety principles and practices.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Managing third party engineering/design efforts if needed.
- Ensuring field activities are well planned and executed.
- Reviewing weekly project reports to ensure adequate actions to mitigate risks, issues, and exploit opportunities.
- Ensuring project execution plans are comprehensive, current, and fit for purpose.
- Communicate project risks and mitigations.
- Input into capital planning, accruals, and other business-related interfaces.
- Manage document control and ensure compliance with Equinor’s Life Cycle Information (LCI) requirements.
- Bachelor of science degree in mechanical, petroleum, or chemical engineering.
- 5-7 years minimum experience in design of upstream facilities in oil and gas or similar industry.
- Familiar with Onshore production facilities, equipment and gathering systems (production facilities, gas compression, booster stations, Artificial Lift, etc.).
- Experience with dry and rich gas processing preferred.
- Candidates with US Onshore facilities/operations experience are strongly preferred.
- Candidates with both EPC and Owner/Operator experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Procurement/Supply Chain for Projects required.
- Ability to travel to various work site locations in the United States.
- Strong MS Office skills: Excel spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability applicable to US Onshore facilities.
- Demonstrated organizational and coordination abilities across multiple functional disciplines.
