RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides support to the offshore units in the operation, monitoring and maintenance of the fleet of cranes and lifting gears
• Acts as a technical focal point for the rigging & lifting activities
• Ensures the reliability and availability of the equipment in accordance with company and contractual requirements.

MAIN TASKS

• Plans and coordinate the execution of the preventive maintenance plan and inspections of the cranes and lifting appliances
• Prepares the preventive and corrective maintenance activities of cranes and lifting appliances by:
  • Elaborating the scope of work
  • Obtaining technical aligning on the specification of work
  • Following-up the procurement process of parts and services
  • Ensuring the mobilization of vendors in alignment with the operations plan
  • Aligning the interventions plan with the offshore teams
  • Monitoring the preparation and execution of the activities
• Leads or participates in the Root Cause Analysis of failures and incidents related to lifting equipment and operations
• Report activities and escalate issues to department Manager
• Ensures that Service Bulletins, GTS, Maintenance and Safety Alerts are implemented in accordance with the company requirements
• Properly reports the anomalies in the CMMS in accordance with the Management System
• Develops technical specification for the rectification of anomalies in alignment with international and corporate standards
• Supports on lifting & rigging operations with technical/operational expertise as required by the unit
• Writing / creating complex Lift Plans
• Provide accurate inputs for the preparation of the budget related to the cranes & lifting appliances activities
• Travel to the Luanda shorebase and offshore units as requried

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Specific skills / expertise / product: 

• Degree in Engineering
• Experience in crane operations on floating offshore units
• Experience of offshore cranes & associated lifting equipment
• Knowledge of Lifting Equipment Inspection, Certification Process
• Lifting Competent Person (or equivalent)
• Fluent English mandatory, Portuguese proficiency desired
• Willingness to obtain BOSIET certification and travel to offshore FPSOs, what will be a mandatory factor in the probation period.
