Job Title: Electrical Fitter-Supervisor

4 Week Rotations Full Time

Purpose of Role:
Our client will be supporting an OWF in France, by delivering a subsea drill system designed to create large diameter holes up to 9.5m in diameter in the seabed and install casing structures for the installation of tubular monopile foundations.
The drill system will be of a new design and build. Successful candidates will assist in the safe assembly, operation and maintenance of the drill system and be part of the team responsible for delivering the completed system to the project.
Principle Responsibilities:

• Assembly and commissioning of electrical systems
• Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical system faults
• Actively maintaining and repairing electrical systems
• Working part of a skilled offshore team with a key focus on minimising equipment downtime
• Actively contributing to equipment modifications and improvements
• Completing detailed and concise daily/weekly reports

Context and Scope of Role:

• Extensive experience working with Electro/Hydraulic systems 
• Served a recognized electrical apprenticeship
• Demonstrable experience working offshore and in challenging marine environments
• Minimum NVQ level 3 electrical engineering
• City & guilds level 3 electrotechnical studies
• C&G 18th edition qualified
• Good knowledge of 3 phase systems
• In depth knowledge of electrical motors and generators
• Familiar with and confident working with PLC control systems
• Good understanding of H&S practices and equipment legislation
• Liaise with all stakeholders including Project Managers and Client Representatives to provide up to date information on operational status, planned works and projected timeframes.
• Actively promote team welfare, anticipating the needs of others and resolving issues while promoting best practice and compliance.
• Maintain a safe and effective working environment, ensuring all safe systems of work are effectively communicated and recorded to the relevant site operatives. Ensure compliance with these safe systems of work.
• Work in accordance with the company management system.
• Working 4-week rotations on a 7 day a week/ 12 hour a day shift pattern.

ESSENTIAL experience:

• Experienced in solving problems in challenging circumstances.
• Experience of working to a pre-defined works program in challenging circumstances.
• English speaking.

ADDITIONAL BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE:

• Heavy lift experience, Marine construction mobilization experience.
• Structural steel assembly experience.
• Use of hydraulic torque applicators
• Heavy lifting operational/supervisory experience.
• Mechanical/hydraulic fitting experience.
• Welding experience.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum NVQ level 3 electrical engineering
• City & guilds level 3 electrotechnical studies
• C&G 18th edition qualified WAH
• OEUK MEDICAL
• BOSIET
• GWO

ADDITIONAL BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATION:

• Counterbalance fork truck license
• Rope access qualification
• MEWP/Cherry picker license.
• First aid at work
