About this role: Senior Cost Estimator | Brisbane Based | Global client

Brunel Australasia has partnered with one of worlds premier energy and petrochemical companies to find a Senior Cost Estimator who will be based in their Brisbane CBD office.

As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients cost estimating team to deliver market-competitive cost estimates aligned with their business objectives. From Front-End conceptual studies to project FID, you will be an instrumental part of supporting both Greenfield and Brownfield projects across their organization.
Responsibilities:

• Independently produce multi-discipline cost estimates across all project phases.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of cost estimating principles in line with estimating procedures/guidelines and best industry practices.
• Review and assure third-party prepared cost estimates.
• Analyze actual costs versus approved budget estimates.
• Conduct internal and external benchmarking to continuously improve and optimize costs.
• Present cost estimates to key stakeholders for review and approval.
• Participate in assurance reviews and technical challenge sessions to ensure consistent application of estimating standards.
• Support the gathering of actual cost data from completed projects and other activities to maintain a central estimating cost database.
• Review, enhance, and maintain existing cost estimating models to ensure high efficiency in estimating delivery.
• Excel and other industry standard Estimating tools will be your forte.
• Ability to lead and/or facilitate project risk analysis workshops utilizing @Risk or similar software would be a valuable advantage.

What you need to bring:

• Engineering Degree and/or equivalent experience.
• Considerable Industry experience in senior and lead estimation positions.
• General Oil & Gas, LNG and CSG experiences are an advantage.
• Fully versed with Cost Estimating principles, techniques, and industry standard tools.
• Proficiency with the use of standard office software such as Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communications skills (including report writing and presentation) are essential.
