Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to seek an Ethanol Plant Laborer, to join them on a 12-month contract to work in Lloydminster, AB.  

As the Plant Laborer for the Lloydminster Ethanol Plant, this individual will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment within the Grain and DDGS loading/unloading facilities as well as performing various tasks within the general plant site.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties required in the receiving, grading, and binning of feed grain according to accepted standards and procedures while maximizing throughput.
• Load DDGS railcars and trucks
• Works together with Process Operations to address production and quality control issues for both grain and DDGS
• Safely operate large equipment such as wheel loader, front end loader tractor, forklift and man lift as well as various other pieces of equipment.
• Be comfortable working at heights.
• Perform minor equipment and facility maintenance including P.M. record keeping.
• Issue receipts for grain deliveries and bill of ladings for DDGS shipments, troubleshoot and correct receipts as required.
• Ensure that all grain receiving test equipment is maintained, operating correctly, inspected, and records maintained. This includes all scales, moisture analyzers, and dockage testers.
• Participate in HAZOPs and What-Ifs as required.
• Communicates product quality and shipping issues to onsite Grain Purchasing and DDGS Marketing representatives.
• Comply with all Cenovus safety policies to ensure safe control of work.
• Ensure safety requirements are met and maintained, this includes safety meeting attendance and required safety training.
• Assist with various tasks both in the product handling area as well as the general plant area as required and directed by operations and product handling staff.

• 4th Class Power Engineering Certification (preferred)
• Minimum of two years’ experience grading grain (preferred)
• Candidate will have four years related experience and an agricultural background, or a combination of education and experience in a grain elevator (preferred)

• 2 years' experience operating large equipment.
• Competent operating large equipment such as wheel loaders, forklift, manlift and tractors
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
• Canadian Grain Commission Grading course or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience in WHMIS and the transportation of dangerous goods (preferred)
• Knowledge of Measurement Canada requirements for grain receiving and loading (preferred)
