Job Title: Materials and Corrosion Engineer – Digital
Job Description:
• Preparation and review of the Process systems to be added in Corrosion Monitoring PI application (APP7)
• Identifying the new Piping and Static equipment elements and new attributes addition in PI AF
• Identify all degradation mechanisms for each element or equipment and corrosion loop splitting
• Preparation of Corrosion Loop Drawings to identify the type of corrosion and areas for potential attacks
• Preparation of all SQL tables spreadsheet to be added in PI AF including all elements and attributes
• Definition and build of PI AF Structure as per approved mappings
• Review of bidder technical proposal for SVGs and preparation of TQs on bidder’s proposal to meet the
technical requirements
• Preparation of What To Monitor list for all corrosion loops and their applicability for the SVG packages and
co-ordination activities for the preparation/review of SVGs required for the PI vision displays
• Support activities, documents preparation for UAT, Deployment activities of Corrosion Monitoring PI
application (APP7)
• Defining the smart actions and preparation of smart action register based on the criticality of Anomalies
• Updating the SVG status list and Master SQLs for Corrosion Monitoring PI Application (APP7)
• Troubleshooting bugs in PI AF, PI Vision is an added advantage
• Understand the project scope clearly, plan and deliver assigned tasks with accuracy within agreed time
frame
• Utilize your technical expertise to develop safe and quality solutions in support of project and discipline
requirements
• Identify areas requiring more detailed instructions and clarify understanding/expectation as necessary with
Discipline Lead; ensure no surprises
• Complete tasks in compliance with applicable industry standards/regulations and work procedures
• Proactively interface with Discipline Lead and peers for resolving issues, sharing information and progress
• Perform thorough self-check of all deliverables prior to submission for review /approval
• Properly plan work to allow adequate time for documents to be thoroughly checked to ensure accuracy
• Understand how assigned tasks will affect all disciplines and stakeholders; provide timely and accurate
input to other disciplines in support of their design requirements in meeting deadlines
• Produce consistent/organized documents in a well-structured format to clearly convey required
information
Job requirements:
• Degree in Materials and Corrosion Engineering
• Experience in Materials and Corrosion in Oil & Gas Industry, FPSO experience is an added advantage
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Materials and Corrosion Engineering projects
• Experience in Risk Based Assessments and Inspections for various types of Piping and Static Equipment such
as Separators, Deaerator Columns and Exchangers (Shell and Tubes, Plate Heat Exchangers) is an added
advantage.
• Work experience in Piping and Static Equipment Operations is an added advantage
• Involved in vendor document review / approval for various types of Materials in Detail Engineering projects
• Work experience in Digital Projects for Corrosion Monitoring activities is an added advantage
Skill requirement:
• Good knowledge in the following software is an added advantage
- PI System OSIsoft, AF structure & PI Vision
- PI datalink & PI Builder
- Adobe Illustrator
- SQL Database
- MS office Macro
• Good Knowledge in international codes such as API for the Risk Based Inspection Guidelines
