> Our client, a major oil and gas operator in Papua New Guinea, is looking for a HSE Methods & Contracts Engineer to join their team in their Port Moresby office.

Activities

• Coordinating the application of our HSSE rules related to Contracts & Procurement;
• Reviewing of Contracts Committees packages, including Scope of Work Preliminary Risk Assessments;
• Reviewing of HSSE aspects in the Specimen Contracts and Instructions To Tenderers packages;
• Participating to the HSSE evaluation of bidders through Call For Tenders;
• Developing and monitoring the implementation of HSSE Action Plans resulting from the HSSE evaluation of bidders;
• Developing the HSSE Clauses exhibits of contracts;
• Training the Contracts owners and users on their HSSE responsibilities;
• Assisting Affiliate’s entities on any Contractual HSSE aspect.

Context and environment

• The position is based in Port Moresby, PNG as a resident.
• Regular stays on operational sites are necessary.

Accountabilities

• A continuous improvement in the HSSE performances of the branch;
• Assists the HSSE Methods Manager in all domains concerning his perimeter, developing and implementing the company's HSSE standards and good practices.

Required Qualifications / Experience

• Sense of organization and methodology
• Taking initiative and being proactive
• Good knowledge of operational exposure and internal/external HSE standards and regulations applicable to the operations,
• Good level of written and spoken English,
• Good communication skills,
• University degree (MSc) in engineering domains,
• Minimum 5 years experience in Oil and Gas, Mining or Construction domain.
