Calling all Hydraulic and Mechanical Engineers!

Are you a seasoned Hydraulic Engineer with strong experience working on pumping stations? If so, Blueprint Recruitment has the perfect opportunity for you!

We are looking to speak with motivated Hydraulic Engineers to work alongside a leading Utilities contractor. As the selected candidate, you will be required to operate on a hybrid basis by attending the Coventry or Derby office. This opportunity is a full-time, long-term contract.

Our client is a respected water company that supplies a vast number of households and businesses in the UK. Their specialities include Water Treatment, Renewable Energy and Climate Change.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out surveys and feasibility assessments
• Undertake design of complex pumping systems
• Undertake trouble shooting of problematic pumping systems
• Execute design acceptance of contractor design
• Take ownership of design documents relating to pumps and pumping systems,
• Guide, mentor, and upskill junior engineers

Key requirements:

• Analysis and design of complex pumping systems including:

• CFD modelling / physical modelling
• Hydraulic Calculations
• Surge Analysis
• Experience of commissioning complex pumping systems is desirable
• Experience in the selection of suitable pump type for the application
• Knowledge of pipework design across a variety of pump installations
• Background in both factory and field testing of pumps
• Experience with engaging with a wide variety of clients and stakeholders
• Good working knowledge of WIMES specifications is beneficial
• Awareness of water, waste water treatment process and networks
• Ideal if you have professional registration with a relevant engineering institution
