TRANSMISSION & DISTRIBUTION

Primary purpose of job

Manages repairs of piggable and non-piggable QatarEnergy and 3rd Parties pipelines across the State of Qatar and supports plans the routine and non-routine inspection of the pipeline system. Prepares, plans and schedules for TRANSMISSION & DISTRIBUTION pipeline system outage in liaison with Operations, Engineering and Business Planning. Coordinates Pipeline decommissioning/commissioning activities including pigging operation and on-shore/off-shore mobilization of necessary resources. Prepares, plans and schedules for piggable pipelines network intelligent pigging findings verification and repairs. Prepares, plans and schedules for non-piggable pipelines ECDA/ICDA survey findings repair. Supports GDS pipelines shutdown and facilities outage in planning shutdown sensitive pipelines, headers and manifolds repairs.

Experience & Skills

A minimum of 12 years in Oil and Gas/ Hydrocarbon Process Industry maintenance including 7 years experience in pipeline maintenance management. Good knowledge of the internationals codes/standards. Familiar with inspection, corrosion, cathodic protection and pipelines/pipeline engineering.

Education

B. Sc in Mechanical Engineering and equivalent with computerised training in maintenance management system and MS Office tools.
