Role Definition

Our client is looking for a Coating Engineer Subsea to join the Subsea Engineering group and to work for Material Technologies department in the tender and/or execution phase of subsea projects, on engineering activities relating to the selection, qualification and implementation of coating / painting systems on subsea pipelines and associated structures.

As Coating Engineer Subsea, you will be in charge of:

• Selecting the various coatings to be applied (anti-corrosion and thermal insulation on pipelines and subsea structures),
• Preparation, issuing and update of technical documentation (specifications and technical purchase/service requests for the application of coatings),
• Supporting the purchasing team in the evaluation phase of technical offers from Vendors / Subcontractors (review / comment technical documentation, answers to clarifications, preparation of technical bid evaluations),
• Reviewing technical documents from suppliers/subcontractors relating to the application of coatings in factory or on fabrication sites (review / comment process till acceptance of documentation by the Client),
• Assisting in the pre-qualification and pre-production testing phases for the application of coatings at Vendors / subcontractors premises / fabrication yards,
• Attending technical meetings with Vendors/ Subcontractors & Clients.

The Engineer will execute the above activities within his own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the applicable QA/QC and HSE requirements.
