*Halpin is Looking for an Embedded Electrical Engineer! Direct Hire!*

*First Shift 7:30AM-4:00PM*

*Salary - $90,000 - 100,000*

*Duties and Responsibilities:*

* Create hardware and software specification documents based on system specifications.
* Generate PCB hardware designs meeting said specifications.
* Debug PCB hardware and validate circuit designs.
* Develop and troubleshoot firmware to meet engineering specifications.
* Communicate with both internal (Sales, Technical Support, Manufacturing) and external (Customers, Suppliers) stakeholders to ensure designs meet quality, functional, and cost requirements.
* Execute product testing and compile engineering test reports.
* Respond to updates in supplied components to ensure consistent product performance.
* Update CAD drawings and related design files.
* Participate fully in the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process to update product models, drawings, and specifications.

*Skills and Abilities:*

* Experience in designing with 8- and 32-bit embedded microcontrollers.
* Proficiency in interfacing with various types of I/O, including serial, digital, parallel, and analog.
* Familiarity with concepts for reducing or eliminating the effects of electrical noise, both radiated and conducted.
* Experience in designing low voltage/low power conditioning circuits.
* Demonstrated expertise with various user interface technologies.
* Working knowledge of hardware and software design practices.
* Desirable skills in PCB layout and/or knowledge.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, frequency analyzers, and generators.
* Knowledgeable in firmware development using both 'C' and assembly languages.
* Demonstrated ability in critical thinking and process improvement techniques.
